All golf balls aren’t created equally, so we’ve done the research to find the best golf balls you can buy. Our top pick, the Titleist Tour Soft golf ball, delivers outstanding performance and it has a distance that’ll work nicely for mid- and low-handicap players.
Strap: Some bags have a double strap so you can carry it across both shoulders, which is more comfortable than a single strap. Some straps have more padding than others, making the bag easier to carry.
The base of the bag is secured by E trolley base system. This base allows the bag to sit perfectly on most golf carts. The bag has two integrated bag handles and shoulder strap that evenly balances the load. Weighing just 5.6 pounds, this stylish and functional bag offers all the storage facilities you might need to stay organized on the golf course.
Featuring a lockable, full wrap zipper, the travel cover provides maximum protection for your clubs. Lift assist handle (ease of loading into vehicle). Internal compression strap stabilizes bag during travel.
There’s a velour-lined pocket for your valuables, a beverage pocket and pockets for gear and accessories. Simple to transport from the car and on the course thanks to an integrated lift handle and a comfortable double-strap design, the Titleist Ultra Lightweight Stand Bag also features a three-way top and three full-length club dividers.
Walking 18 holes on a golf course isn’t the easiest thing to do. But more and more people are doing it. And if you’re one of them, you’re going to need a golf bag that’s lightweight and practical so you’re not exhausted by the time you hit the back 9.

Light, versatile, functional and reasonably priced — all you need in a golf bag. Datrek Golf’s 2018 Trekker Ultra Lite Stand Bag is highlighted by it’s ultra light construction. Weighing just 3 pounds, it’s made of durable nylon and can withstand rigors of walking round after round. It has a 4-way top with full-length club dividers to hold all your clubs, as well as an umbrella sleeve.
The Supercharged golf bags come equipped with a 7800 mAh rechargeable, portable power pack capable of recharging a mobile phone three times. This power pack has two USB ports, one standard and one rapid-charging, allowing recharging of multiple devices at the same time.
The Callaway Hyper-Lite 5 Stand Bag is one of the lightest stand bags available today, weighing in at under 5 pounds. This bag has a 9 inch, five way divider and organizes your clubs and keeps them from damaging each other. At the base of this bag Callaway has introduced us to, “extra traction technology,” which allows us to share the golf bag will not slip or fall over when engaged in a standing position. Even though this bag is so light, you still have to be able to carry it on your back which is why Callaway redesigned their comfort strap system and provided a more ergonomic option.
Our runner up is slightly lighter than the Sun Mountain, so it pairs up as a carry bag well. For those wanting more diversity and adaptability from a golf bag, this is the obvious choice. The bag handles well both on your back and on the cart, is made of anti-rip polyesters and is water resistant, making it an excellent choice for any player.
The Callaway Org 14 is designed to be used on a motor cart, so there’s a slot for the cart strap behind the upper rangefinder pouch that gives you extra storage space you wouldn’t get otherwise.   The left side pocket also has a cleverly hidden sleeve for your golf umbrella plus slots for tees on the exterior. It’s clear Callaway put a lot of thought and took feedback from lots of golfers to make this bag so intuitive. A sign of a great golf bag is when you can easily access exactly what you need without interrupting your round.
This bag has two full-length clothing pockets, a beverage pocket, two velvet lined valuable pockets, and a rangefinder pocket. All of these pockets come together and help protect what is most important to you.
As you can see, this thing has a LOT to offer for the money. From the 14 full length dividers to the two insulated cooler pockets for beverages – this one truly has everything that you could ask for in an awesome golf cart bag. Plus, it has a very affordable price! Of course, if you enjoy throwing back a cold one on the course, then we think you’ll agree that this is the best golf bag for beer drinkers – those two insulated beverage cooler pockets are perfect for that six pack!
The club organizer section is also excellent, with specific sleeves for each divider in the bag.  This prevents your clubs from getting tangled up at the bottom. I’ve had bags without the dividers and there’s really no turning back once you’ve been able to slide your club back in without having to jam it through the other club grips. Just be careful not to force your clubs in too hard after a bad shot because the sleeves aren’t quite as durable as the exterior of the bag. Don’t let the warning fool you, though, the Org 14 is pretty durable considering it weighs in at less than 6 pounds.
This bag has a soft touch handle making it easy to lift. The cart strap has a channel passthrough ensuring that the pockets are always accessible. The bottom of the bag has a molded cross design, allowing it to fit securely on the cart. This bag has a sporty, modern look. It weighs just six pounds. The manufacturers of this lightweight, good-looking bag have considered every golfers’ storage needs.
My bag usually has some extra space available.  Just my towel, a dozen or so balls plus a few cheap ones for water holes, my rangefinder, my phone/wallet/keys and a water bottle.  I can fit all this stuff with plenty of room to to stash a couple beers when playing a casual round.
Bright and cheerful, this very reasonably priced bag is made from lightweight and durable nylon. The ten inch eight-way top has full-length dividers to keep your golf clubs organized. The bag has nine additional pockets for all the other things you may want to take with you onto the golf course. The valuables pocket is fleece lined. The bag also has a glove hook and towel loop.
Expect plenty of functionality in an extremely light and walking-friendly bag with Sun Mountain’s 2017 4.5 LS 14-Way Stand Bag. We all know what can happen to our clubs during walks on the course — they can bang and clank together in the bag, potentially damaging them. Not with this bag as it is highlighted by a 14-way top with full-length dividers. So there a private, protected spot for each of your clubs.
During the 1920s, experienced golfers and their caddies took to using custom-made bags to tote a full arsenal of clubs. Motorized carts were added into the mix a few decades later, rendering it much easier for even the most out-of-shape golfers to enjoy a full day on the links.
One of the really great things about the 2015 Callaway Org 14 bag is that it weighs under 5 pounds, however the updated 2016 version clocks in it at around 5.6 pounds when empty. Sure, that isn’t even a full pound of difference in weight, but I like to go with the most lightweight option that I can find and I really hate that the 2016 edition of this one weighs a little more than the older version.
Though I really like this one, there are still some room for improvements here. While it does have a beverage pocket, a small cooler pocket would be preferable to me. I’d also prefer a bag with individual spots for the clubs instead of the 5-way opening and two full length dividers.
The bottom line is that having a great golf bag can really put your mind at ease playing. Being mentally relaxed is a key to playing the best golf that you can. When starting out keep in mind the main differences between a carry bag and a cart bag. No matter what your needs are, you will be able to find the perfect golf bag for any situation. Always be aware that having a quality golf bag save you money in the long. If buying a new golf bag has been something you’ve been considering for a while, then get off the fence and pick one of the top quality options available today.
The Ogio is the cheapest of our three options, coming in under $150. As far as travel bags go, you don’t want to go much cheaper than this. Your clubs are worth a decent amount of money, so you want to protect them as much as you can for what fits your budget. The Straight Jacket weighs 7.6 lbs – three pounds less than the Club Glove option – and thanks to its construction, it won’t be quite as durable. But since it’s a bit lighter, you can pack some extra shoes in. The bag has the same protective features – reinforced base, padded top, secure zippers – as the other bags, but it’s definitely less structured.
Most of the time, you’ll find a towel clip, loop or ring on the side. You need this because it is an easy way to keep a towel handy for wiping debris off your gear. Since the exact feature varies (clip, look or ring), just look out for the type that you prefer.
Personally, I’d expect this one to have more than a four-way top divider system for my clubs. This isn’t a deal breaker for me, but I just expect more from it. Likewise with the number of pockets. Basically, I just feel like there should be more here, but the bottom line is that it’s still a great choice if you don’t mind these things.
Sun Mountain gave the 5.5 LS a large top, making it one of the easiest Sun Mountain bags for finding just the right club after you’ve employed the stand. However, Amazon buyer Samuel says the large, hard plastic top will dig into your back as you walk.
If you want something that it lightweight and that is designed for only a few of your clubs, then a carry bag is the choice for you. Usually this type is referred to as a Sunday bag by most golfers. It is designed to be carried, does not come with a stand, and typically only has enough room for the bare necessities – a few clubs, balls and tees. This is not something that you’d want for your everyday solution. Think of it more as a “just in case” bag that you keep in the trunk for those times when you’re not expecting to be out on the course, but the opportunity presents itself and you don’t want to pass it up. This type usually only weighs around two pounds empty.
As you can see, at around 4 pounds for the weight, this one is very lightweight! And if you’re going to be using a carry bag, that is definitely what you want out of your gear. What’s nice about this one is that it also comes with the stand, so you can still prop it up while you’re playing. For the money, this one is a great buy at this price point.
With Titleist being one of the most well-known brand names for all kinds of high-end golf equipment, you know you’ll be receiving one of the best bags available anywhere with the Titleist Mid-Size Staff Golf Bag.
